Privacy policy

Short version: your receipts and invoices never leave your device.

Files

PDFs and images you open in TillSheet are read by code running in your browser, including text recognition (OCR) for photos. Their contents are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Passwords for protected PDFs are used only in your browser and never stored.

Downloads from our site

To read photos, your browser downloads TillSheet's text-recognition engine and language data from our own site. That is a one-way download; nothing about your files is sent back.

Data stored in your browser

We store a daily document counter, your Xero export settings and, if you buy Pro, your license key in your browser's local storage. The OCR engine may be cached by your browser. Clear site data to remove them anytime.

License validation

If you activate Pro, your license key (and nothing else) is sent to our payment provider's license API to confirm it is valid. When you click a buy button or reach a Pro-only feature, the site asks the payment provider whether checkout is open (nothing about you or your files is sent).

Hosting logs

Like any website, our host may log standard request data (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

Payments

Purchases are processed by our merchant-of-record payment partner, which handles your payment details and sales tax under its own privacy policy. We never see your card number.
